It's the most powerfull computer training tool on actual market.

Problems studied: DV Peripherals, video format, codecs, graphic cards, performance, user friendly, modularity, reutilisability, compatibility, reducing of time between capture and visualisation of processed images. We were working on Windows 2002 and XP with Visual C++ and COM technologie with DirectShow.

My studies work

3rd year work:

It consist of an automated service on the web to do document recognition (from a scanned picture to a modifiable document).

Final work:

The goal of this research program is to study the market of electronic book and then to implement a concept of use for the state camp of scout from Fribourg. The final report of this work can be seen at: http://www.vaucher.info/e-book/e-book.html.

My chemistry studies

As secondary way for my studies, I've chosen chemistry. I've acquired basis knowledge in organic and inorganic chemistry. A third part of my time was devoted to this branch. In facultative courses I oriented myself in transition metals, complex chemistry, electrochemistry and metallic organic chemistry. I've done some practical works in laboratory as half day a week.

My Free Time

Scouting

I began the scouts in 1987. Successively I go through the different units as participant. Then I was the leader during 6 years for the group of children 15 -18 years old. After that I occupy myself for the group of rovers (19 y.o. and more) during one year and was the leader for the whole scout group of Bulle (120 children aged 6-20) from 2002 to 2003. To be recognized as leader I do some formations at a national level. They are managed by the federal institute "Teenagers & Sport". They are a lot of sensibilisation of whole aspects of the children and way to manages activities with children aged 6-20. I've done specialization for winter activities too and belongs a first aid certificate (with CPR) and swimming rescue certificate. I've done a lot of other scouts specialization as managing training lessons (TOP lesson) managing leaders, organizing big activities.

I'have done some big projects as an humanity side. The best one was 2 stays in Haiti in an orphanage to do scouts activities with children during two months. I went in Poland too with 40 children of my group to do a game place for children in an orphanage. You can see the pictures and comments at http://www.scoutsbullois.ch

I also took part to the World Jamboree with some children in Thailand in winter 2002.

To can share my experience with the other and transmit what I've learned I engaged myself at a state level for the state of Fribourg in 1999. It's a good way and an advantage to meet a lot of other children and leader from Switzerland and manage bigger activities. We do as well the link between the Swiss Scout Movement and the regional groups. So I take part of the organization of this movement at all levels. I'm co-responsible too for our new internet concept at http://www.scoutsfribourgeois.ch.

The scouting take fast all my free time and is a full voluntary job. But due to my activity within ICRC, I had to reduce my engagement.

Church activities.

Mass servant

I've taken part in this movement during 10 years (1986-1996) . I was the leader during 4 years. I had to organize the celebrations with the children aged 10-16. With the region, I went two times to Rome in pilgrimage with almost 200 children. I was responsible for a group of 10 children.

In 2000 and 2002  I went there for the World Youth Day in Roma and Toronto.

Confirmation

During two years I manage two groups of 10 teenagers that are preparing the confirmation sacrament. I had to animate once a month a meeting on a given religious subject.

Teenagers mass

This activity is to live more animated mass, organized by teenagers depending on their wishes. We were 4 persons responsible for that. It worked well during two years.

Amateur Theater

I started with "Treteaux de Chalamala" in May 1995 and still active now. I 'm voluntary working as sound & light technician. We are 3 people in the team doing light & sound  for all groups (children, teenagers and adults). It's 2 pieces a year. We do the Santa Nicholas festival too for the city of Bulle.

Each two years the are theater meetings for amateur in my region. It last 4 days but the preparative and repetitions last one month. Here I work as voluntary sound manager. It's a good way to see theater in different ways. It's marvelous. Sometime, I put my experience to other amateur troops in need of such a service.

Diverse

LEGO

As little as I was I liked playing with LEGO. You can develop your creativity and keep your imagination free (Juste imagine). And today the more exciting face is that you can combine them with computer to become robots. With this passion I've taken part in the LEGO WORLD CUP 1992 in Billund at Legoland Park as Swiss champion. This end august 1992 my dreams become reality.

Sport

During winter time I like ski and snowboard. For the summer time I go walking through the mountains or in mountain bike.

Voluntary and humanity actions

I like to take part in organizing punctual manifestations as voluntary. Servicing is one of the scouting fundaments. In this idea we organized a truck with goods for Mostar in Yougoslavia.

In Summer 1998 and 1999 I went to work in an orphanage in Haiti, one of the poorest land on the world. I do a scout summer program there during 2 month with 3 swiss other leaders and 40 Haitian children. You can see the summary at http://www.vaucher.infot/haiti/haiti.html.

Discovering the world

Having two nationalities(Swiss & French) and having relatives in France, Belgium, Italy and Australia, I'm used to travel a lot. In went during the last years in most of European countries, Crete, USA, Haiti). Discovering other mentalities et other cultures is very exciting and rich experience.
